I've done a lot of testing over the years. I've noticed that the Samsung profiles have not been updated in a long, long time.
After reading a lot on the profiles I have a couple of question I would like to have cleared up.
Keep in mind:
- I'm using the Samsung Smart TV 2015 UN65F6300AFXZA
- All software is up to date.
- I have tested all formats on the https://www.samsungdforum.com/Tizen/Spec#2015TVSpec are verified as correct.
Questions:
1. ash-4.3# pwd /volume1/@appstore/Plex Media Server/Resources/Profiles, Is this location for 'Device' or 'DLNA' or both profiles? ( Should I simply update these master files? )
https://www.samsungdforum.com/Tizen/Spec#2015TVSpec provides the full specifications for 2015+ how can I contribute a new updated profile template?
My TV is detected as 'Samsung' not as a Samsung SmartTV. how can this be corrected?
Currently i've been able to play back files Plex deems as "This tv does not support codex 'vp9' or 'h265'. Since I have tested/verified (via USB & Plex direct play) all of the formats as per the Samsung website, what is the best way to correct this for the 'auto' play to work.
