DSM 6.1 upgrade and PMS

This is to confirm:

DSM 6.1-15047 and PMS 1.4.2-3400 are ok.

There are two update/upgrade methods

Method A:

1. Stop installed PMS
2. Initiate DSM 6.0 upgrade
3. If DSM 6.0 informs PMS will be disabled, Cancel the upgrade and proceed with Method B.
4. Proceed with normal DSM installation & restart.
5. Allow DSM to complete post-upgrade internal migrations
6. Start PMS

Method B:

1. Stop PMS
2. Uninstall PMS
3. Upgrade DSM 6.0 and proceed with post-upgrade internal migrations
4. Install PMS
5. All PMS to stabilize post installation (60-90 seconds before CPU calms)

If you have any issues or concerns PRIOR to upgrading, please create a thread with the words "DSM 6.1 Upgrade:" and the DiskStation model in the subject.

If you wish to make a brief post, e.g. "DSM 6.1, DSxxx, ok if you uninstall first, upgrade, then install", etc is ok. Such posts will be rolled up into this post until QA has completed fully vetting all Synology platforms:
