DSM 6.1 Upgrade: DS212j

I have a DS212j running DSM 6.0.2-8451 Update 9 with PMS 0.9.16.6.

When trying to install the recent Version: 6.1-15047, I get the "Plex will be disabled" message. Based on ChuckPA's post about PMS compatibility with DSM 6.1, it sounds like I might be out of luck. Does this mean I have to choose between updating DSM or using Plex?
