Hi... Plex Remote Access issue here.
I have two plex servers on my network, a Synology DS416play and a Mac mini. Both are configured for Remote access. Both use port forwarding, configured in my router. Each server has its own external port, and each has its own external port configured in Settings / Remote Access / Manually specify port. UPNP is disabled in my router.
The mac mini is visible to Plex outside my network. The DS416play is NOT.
When I initially enable Remote Access in Synology, the indicator goes green, then it immediately turns to red.
I thought maybe it was a IPv6 issue, so I disabled IPv6 on my DS416play. I also verified that the DS416play's IP address appears in the list of connections shown by my router.
I have heard some rumours that IPv6 might cause problems for Remote Access. In case it matters, my ISP is a dual stack, showing iPv6 and IPv4 at whatsmyipaddress dot com. However, this does not seem to be an issue for the Plex server on my Mac mini.
I am using manual port 32405 and have ports 32400-32414 open in my DS416play firewall.
Anybody have any thoughts on how to troubleshoot this?
