I have a DS216+II Synology Nas. I downloaded the latest version of Plex Media Server for the synology nas. My Nas is on DSM Version 6.1.7-15284. After installing plex onto the Synology nas, I opened ports 32400 for my nas ip address. I am able to select the plex icon on my synology nas and it redirects me to my nas's local ip addres followed by port 32400. After signing in plex says "looking for server" at the top left corner. So how can I get plex to see my synology nas as a server?
Additional information: I went to the users tab on the synology nas, selected plex, and made sure it had read/write access.
Also I went to the shared folder tab, and made sure the plex folder had read/write access for my user and plex user.
