Here's what I have and what I'm trying to setup:
I have a PMS server running on my Windows 10 Pro workstation currently using local drives.
I'd like to keep PMS running on this Windows box and have all my media stored and fetched from my new Synology DS214se NAS box (it has a static local ip).
What would be the best way to set this up?
Map a drive? NFS? CIFS? Any performance issues?
Right now I have PMS Service installed so my PMS starts automatically in the event my computer gets rebooted.
I want to ensure that my NAS box will connect automatically even if I'm not locally logged in.
Any suggestions? Advice? Any other way? I want to ensure I get the best performance I can get with what I already have.
