when I tried to install the new version of Plex (v1.0) appears an error message saying this version is not compatible with my NAS...
I suppose the problem is that my processor is not ARM v7...but in the Download section of Plex web I cannot find another version of PMS...what can I do? Should I install Plex v0.9 again?

I've been asking around for help with installing PlexPy. I tried to use docker, but I could not get the settings to save properly on a reboot of NAS. I tried to install via PlexPys Linux instructions but on a reboot I can no longer find the /opt/PlexPy directory.

I currently run PMS on my Synology 214play and stream via homeplugs to various raspberry Pis and wirelessly to ipads. However, I'm upgrading my home network to have Ethernet in most rooms.
As my NAS is getting full, would I be better getting some HDD and putting them in my desktop PC and running PMS from there, or keep the NAS as the library and just use the PC for PMS for transcoding etc. The NAS and PC can be in the same room, I'm not sure what the best way to connect them would be?

Hye everyone,, when will plex will use the internal capability of the DS415 PLAY to transcode video. because it's too long to transcode , and sometimes it don't work !
I have an oldish DS213 (ARM). Yesterday I tried to install Plex in DSM 6.0 and it said it could not be installed on this unit.
I'm seeing a few conflicting threads elsewhere but just wanted to sound out anyone here and see if this is definitely not compatible.

Running PMS on a Synology 1815+ and it appears that since updating to version 1 I keep loosing the remote connection. I have to go into the server and click the retry button for it to reconnect. I have a feeling it might be to do with when the Synology goes to sleep/hibernate. It looks like when the box wakes up its not automatically reconnecting the remote access. I've noticed there are a few similar issues in the Windows forums (which is making me wonder if it is connected to the box going to sleep). Any one have any ideas.

Yesterday I installed Plex on my Windows 8 netbook. My goal is to connect it to my Synology NAS to get the videos and send them to an external screen from the Google Chrome Cast.
Some colleagues told me to don't use Plex directly on the NAS because the CPU may be to light to decode some big videos like High Quality MKV files, that's why I followed their recommandations and I am trying to use the NAS just like an external HDD.
I installed Plex from the Windows Store. I gave to plex, the url and port to access to the NAS, but an error message tell me that the connection is refused by the client. It seems totaly normal, but I have really no idea of the method to authenticate Plex on my Synology NAS from my Windows PC.
Does someone already tried it ? How do I have to configure my NAS, or Plex itself ?

I installed my Plex Server on a NAS (Synology DS214 Play) and I have a Samsung Smart TV. I'm wondering, since a few weeks, how can I have access to my Plex server on my TV ??? Indeed the TV ask to enter a pin code on a internet browser, but as my server is on a NAS, not a computer... I really don't know how to fix it. It's the same thing with my Xbox One...

i have a DS2415+ with Plex Server on it, everthing works fine, but i have a Problem with to missing Movies in Plex.
I have a Folder called "Movies", there are 1466 Movies in it, Plex shows only 1464 Movies and now i'm looking for the missing ones or the wrong allocations.
Is there any way to export the Movie List in Plex, so i can compare and find the missing Movies?

now Plex transcodes a lot more files on my Synology to ATV4. Or the transcoding is slower than with 0.9.16.6. Very frustrating as I get a lot of loading screens now. That wasn't the case with the same files on the older version. Example:
Codec: MPEG-4 Video (DX50)
Resolution: 496 x 384
Framerate: 25
I can't find any possibility to change this behavior in the settings. Also I can't downgrade anymore as the package center says it's not possible...

I've some issue with Plex Server.
Before upgrading to 1.0.0, Plex was no longer able to sync with any indexer.
So to solve this issue, I delete and reinstall Plex on FreeNas Server (9.3).
But now, I cannot claim anymore this fresh new server. And whenn I try to claim it, an error occured.
A miss instalation is not possible, it's a plugin.
The only clue, this Plex FreeNass plugin is not up to date. It can be ...

I've installed PMS in my new brand ds216Play. Now is possible to download as a third parts app. Then, I click on this app (in DMS apps screen) but a message prompts like that: It's not possible to connect to the server (IP LAN 192.168.1.X:32500/web). Just in case, I've opened this port in my router, but it doesn't work. Would you tell me what is the problem? Some clue?
(Connection to 192.168.1.X/5000 and 5001 have not problem for granted)

Unfortunately the packer manager of DSM (5.2-5644 Update 1) provides a rather old version of Plex (0.9.12.3.1173). I tried to manually install newer versions downloaded from plex.tv (last try was 0.9.14.6.1620), but it always ends up with an error message. Anyone else got this problem?

I want to synchronize music to my android tab - if I choose "ALL" it`s no problem
but if I choose "FOLDER" - choose the device - something is wrong - I couldn`t choose "elements" or "bit rates" or "sync"
Have this problem who else - or is this my problem :-$

Hi all, I have a very hard time getting a stable experience when i transcode. 1080p is practically impossible and 720p is barely ok and sometime doesn't work. I am trying to figure out what is going out from the Plex Media Server Log but it is unreadable. How do you guys manage to read this file? Using notepad, there is no line wrapping or indent, it is extremely hard to figure out the sequence of things.

I run a DS415+ and since updating to V1 have been experiencing buffering issues, a problem I've never had, ever.
I run plex apps on a number of devices in my home, my nvidia shield kept buffering while trying to watch a movie last night, I tried it on my XB1 with no issues. Tonight I'm trying to watch a movie on my Apple TV, again it keeps buffering stating the same error that my sever is not powerful enough to transcode.
I have the quality set to original, everything is connected via LAN.
I must admit I've never noticed the CPU on my syno running so high since I upgraded to V1.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
