Hi, I'm hoping someone may be able to help me troubleshoot remote connection. I am running Plex Server on Synology 1513+. My router is Apple Airport Extreme, and I've set port forwarding to 32400 (have checked/set this in the web app). I am able to access plex while inside my network, but cannot connect remotely.

The service stops with crushing inevitability almost as soon as it starts (lasts probably a minute or two). It was fine until I added my music folder. Any ideas?

I have recently moved to a DS916+ and I was hoping to be able to run Plex on it. I started Plex yesterday and it seemed to be working, but some time today I started to get errors when I am trying to use it.
If i go in from the web interface, I get "There was an unexpected error loading the dashboard" and if i go in from the Samsung app, I get an error that there is no information to display.
I looked in the logs and the only thing that looks suspect to me is that i get a "WARN - SLOW QUERY: It took 270.000000 ms to retrieve 50 items."

In the Plex NAS Compatibility list I don't see my NAS, but I find the DS415Play in this list.
Plex server is running, but if I start it, in the web interface I can't find the sever. (in Mozilla and Internet Explorer last version)
My friends try to repair with SSH, but they can't to repair it.

I desperately need your help, I have NO clue what to change.
First:
My plex server is running on a 916+ (DSM 6.0.2-8451 Update 8) latest PlexMedia Server (1.3.3.3148-b38628e-x86).
My problem:
Plex Media Server is running and i can stream my content (at home) to my iPad and my Android BUT i can't access my MediaServer (neither by opening it directly via DS, nor via (localhost):32400/web, nor local plex media player on my Mac).
Tried to disable firewall (nothing), checked my router (Fritz 5490, UPnP enabled, add manually made TCP portforwarding at/to 32400 @ DS IP (which is fixed)). Deinstalled VideoStation, de- and reinstalled PlexMedia server, rebooted DS. No Routerconfig on DS done.
Any ideas what to do check?? Thanks for your help/ideas.
Any one else having issues deleting a library at all? I have an situation where Music was continuously updating so I try to delete it now and use Plex Cloud. Unfortunately it won't delete from my PMS.
I can download the logs but I'm not sure where I should be looking to find out the issue, so any help gratefully received. Thanks.
I got no issue viewing my server at home but can't access from outside. I have attached 2 screen shots for the reference. I even tried manual port forwarding via router, but didn't help. Please help!

I've been asking around for help with installing PlexPy. I tried to use docker, but I could not get the settings to save properly on a reboot of NAS. I tried to install via PlexPys Linux instructions but on a reboot I can no longer find the /opt/PlexPy directory.
Would like some step by step help.
I Have been at this for three days without success. I must have tried to install the Synology Nas server software 20 times.
It looks as if I have a mix of new and old code running at the same time.

I created the Plex user.
When I went and check in the User Accounts, I see that the Plex user is not only a regular user but is also part of the administrators group ?
Is it required ?
I'm thinking of removing it from the Administrators group for security reasons.

I select in Global Audio/Subtitle App Language Settings French language.

In my library, i select French language too. After that, i have created Living Room User and Bedroom User.
When i add movies and launch update library. I select movie to verify language. In my user Owner (Plexpass) Audio/Subtitle is French but in my Living Room User and Bedroom User English is activate by default not French :/
Who fix this please?

I have the synology ds214 play and wants to play my movies away from home. It works fine in original quality, but as soon I put on .srt subtitles it starts to lack. Do anyone know how to get about this.

The only thing I see that is different is that the rejected file has embedded subtitles.

This file seems to be stripped of the subtitles but now a lot else has changed instead.
What's wrong with the file and how can I make it work with direct play for PS4?
Also, any plans on allowing remuxing on these weaker NASes since it doesn't seem to need to transcode the audio or video streams?
I too have had the missing metadata/posters bug when installing newer versions of Plex server on Synology (I've reverted to Version 0.9.16.2). I keep seeing this explanation on this forum:

I'd speculate that the posters do exist but that the synology version of plex media centre just isn't serving them.

i have plex (latest plex pass version) running on an synology ds415+ (dsm up-to-date). yesterday it worked properly but today it doesn't connect anymore. i tried almost everything and it doesn't make sense -.-
here is what i already did
1. stopped and started plex in the synology package center
2. restarted my synology
3. restarted my fritzbox
4. checked and re-did the portforwardings
5. reinstalled plex (same version, didn't remove the old installation before)
6. logged out and logged in in the webinterface and all apps
it just don't want to connect anymore and even if i click on the link shown in the package center i can't connect my server :(

Browsing thru the titles in my media library, only the "large" ("Plakat" in german language - poster ?) view works for me.
In both details and list view, all items show up on top of each other, in the first line.

I have around 1959 TV episodes on my NAS and nearly 368 Movies., both in separate folders. I am migrating from KODI to PLEX and all my watched episodes are kept in my trakt.tv subscription. I've just done a Full Sync and a Pull Sync which seemed to work successfully. However now when I go into the dashboard I get an error telling me that "There was an unexpected error loading the dashboard" and to seek help in the forums.
I have tried wiping the database and starting again from scratch and did this process manually just with the TV episodes. Same issue happened.
I can go into the Library and see the episodes fine. If I ask it to filter by unwatched it sits there and spins its wheels. Tried to go into the Movies Library and it came up with nothing at all. Tried to delete the Movie Library and got an error saying it could not delete it. Restarted the PLEX server and it was gone. I'm trying to re-add it.. but it's a slow process and sadly it did nothing to fix the dashboard.
This is a show stopper for me if this can't work, I certainly won't buy the premium package at all.
