I own a synology 1812+ which I keep up to date and there has been a recent update (not sure if that will explain the reason I am having the following issue)
I have a plex account set up with several folders and all folders are being pulled from a folder called video on my synology server. So inside the video folder I have a folder called TV shows, Movies, Home movies, etc.
When I open up my plex app on any device (or by going to plex online) it registers the NAS as being a plex server and serves up all my categories for me to choose from. If I select the home videos folder everything is fine they show up they can be played everything's great. If I chose the TV shows or Movies folder I get the following error "There seems to be a problem: can't connect to the selected server or the content is no longer available" No I can look in my folders on my mac and the movies/tv shows are still there and able to be played on VLC on my mac. But I can't get them to play or even register using the plex app. I have tried recreating a movies group in plex and sending it to the same folder but the issue still remains.
any help on getting this fixed?
